CBBCat refers to our shared library catalog with Colby and Bowdoin. To find it, go to the Library Homepage and select 'CBBCat'. This will search both physical books in prints on the shelves of the library as well as e-books and other materials.
For example, I did a search for "Hmong AND Farming". From this list, I selected the book The Immigrant Food-nexus (MIT Press, 2020). From this, I found a specific book chapter on the Hmong:
Alison Hope Alkon, Kat Vang, 2020. "Boiled Chicken and Pizza: The Making of Transnational Hmong American Foodways", The Immigrant-Food Nexus: Borders, Labor, and Identity in North America, Julian Agyeman, Sydney Giacalone. MIT Press. https://doi.org/10.7551/mitpress/11862.001.0001
For print books, write down the call number and use it to locate the book in Ladd Library, or click 'CBB request' to request the book from Colby or Bowdoin. If you need help, get in touch with a librarian!
For example, this book, Hmong America : reconstructing community in diaspora is available at Colby.
