A workshop on movement in plays of the early and late Renaissance, providing historical context for the gestures, movements, and dances of the periods. Chaffee teaches how to perform bows, explores greetings for men and women, examines walking, and looks at sitting. The DVD also includes tutorials on dancing the pavane, the galliard, and La volta, including beginning stances, arm positions, male and female roles, specific dance steps, and ending the dances.
