By enabling a connection between Google Scholar and the Bates Library, you can be made aware of items in your search results that are accessible through Bates. This connection has already been made for Bates campus computers, but you can set this for your off-campus computer too.
Note that these steps will need to be followed once for each off-campus browser you use.
Also note that this works by creating a browser cookie and if you clear your browser cookies, you will need to repeat these steps.
To create a cookie in your browser to enable the Bates Article Linker in your off campus Google Scholar searches:
Navigate to scholar.google.com and select the hamburger menu at the top left of the Google Scholar page, then click on Settings.
From the Google Scholar Settings page, select the "Library Links" option, enter "Bates College" in the search field.
Check the "Bates College-Bates Article Linker" box and select "save".
