Borrowing Materials

If an item is not available from us, try NExpress or MaineCat, then regular Interlibrary Loan, if necessary.

Policies on borrowing materials from Bowdoin or Colby - in person borrowing is always a possibility.

Handy connections to the catalogs of other libraries (local, state and beyond) including WorldCat.

Unique Resources

As a special service for faculty only, we have access to Proquest's Dissertations and Theses database, which includes the full text of PhD theses since 1997.

Link to all our available E-Books.

Another unique search tool that is available for faculty and students is Citation Indexes from ISI.  You need only to ask a member of Reference to run a search for you on a particular citation to have a list of articles that cite it printed or sent to you.
